The best way to prepare a French press:
This method is recommended for those coffee lovers looking for a full-bodied profile, while enjoying a cup full of aroma and flavor.
It is recommended to use 15 ml of water for each gram of coffee. The water should be as hot as possible.
Step 1: For a 135 ml cup, grind 9 grams as coarse as possible of Café Jericó.
Step 2: Add boiling water to the desired measurement.
Step 3: Stir and wait for 4 minutes before pressing the filter slowly to the bottom.
Step 4: Enjoy your Café Jericó ritual.
The Moka Pot method:
This method is recommended for those who enjoy an intense flavor.
It is recommended to use warm water previously boiled.
Step 1: Fill the filter funnel to the top with grains a little smaller than espresso grains. With your fingers, turn the filter and wipe the top until the edges are clean, and the filter is completely full.
Step 2: Pour the water in the lower part of the moka pot until it reaches the bottom of the valve.
Step 3: Put the filter in the lower part of the moka pot and screw the upper part as much as possible.
Step 4: Put the whole moka pot on the stove with the size of flame no bigger than the bottom of the pot.
Step 5: Wait until you see steam and the upper pot is full of coffee.
Step 6: Enjoy your Café Jericó ritual.
Using an Aeropress to make your stronger tasting coffee:
Our recommended version of the aeropress is using the inverted method, which gives the coffee a stronger taste afterwards.
Step 1: First, grind a fine size coffee grain and stick the two aeropress pieces together. Make sure the rubber line is up to the number 4.
Step 2: Add 1 scoop (10 grams, 2 tablespoons) of coffee to the aeropress hole.
Step 3: Add water to where the level metre measures number 3. Stir and let it sit for 1 minute.
Step 4: Add the rest of the water until the level reaches the top and wait another 2 minutes. Rinse the filter and the cup on the bottom with the remaining water to warm it.
Step 5: Put the filter on top and then the cup above the filter. Flip the whole set up 180 degrees and place it on the table.
Step 6: Press down slowly and enjoy your cup of coffee.
